The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Account details: your name and email address, and how you sign in (email link or Google).
- Workspace details: the members you invite, their email addresses and roles.
- Content from tools you connect, such as tickets, messages, pages, call notes and survey responses. This can include names and comments of the people who wrote them.
- Billing details: plan and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- Usage and technical logs, such as sign-in times and AI usage counts.
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you create an account, invite members or add feedback. We also receive information from the tools you choose to connect. Those connections are read-only. We only write back to Jira or Linear when you explicitly click to push items there.
We use the information to provide the service: turning feedback into insights, clusters, opportunities and drafts, managing your workspace and billing, keeping the service secure, and improving it.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
- Contract: to provide the service you signed up for and to bill for it.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure and to improve it.
- Legal obligation: to keep financial records as required by law.
When you connect tools that contain other people's personal information, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to share it with us. We process it on your behalf.
Who we share it with
- OpenAI, to analyse feedback and draft documents. We try to remove personal details such as email addresses and phone numbers before any text is sent.
- Stripe, to take payments.
- Nango and Lovable, to manage connections to your tools.
- Our hosting and database provider, to run the service.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we only work with providers covered by an adequacy decision or who have safeguards in place that meet the UK GDPR standard for international transfers.
Cookies and analytics
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use our website and the Humane app. It records clicks, scrolling, the pages viewed and basic device details, and uses cookies to do so. Visitors in the UK are asked first and Clarity only runs if they accept; you can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser. Microsoft provides Clarity; see the Microsoft privacy statement.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored with our hosting provider. We keep workspace data for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account and all its data at any time from Settings with "Delete account and all data". We keep billing records for 6 months unless we are legally required to keep them longer, then dispose of them securely.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- Your right of access: you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
- Your right to rectification: you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate, and to complete information you think is incomplete.
- Your right to erasure: you have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

- Your right to object to processing: you have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to data portability: you have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. Please contact us at hello@humane.global if you wish to make a request.
